Having A Morning Routine – A Way To Deal With A Hectic World. | Violeta Marinova

Do you have a morning routine already or this is the first time you've ever heard about it?

The first time I’ve heard about a morning routine was 2 years ago, when I did one of the Yes Master's real estate coaching programs, and it made a perfect sense to me, and this when I’ve started researching on the subject, and decided to create a new habits for myself. 

I knew that's one way to help me keep sane in my sometimes crazy real estate business.

What I’ve found was that the most successful people in the world had a morning routine.

Here are a few good books on the subject:

"The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod  and "The 5 AM Club" by Robin Sharma.

What is a Morning Routine?

Each morning, when you get out of bed, before you start doing anything else, before you touch your phone, you dedicate time for you and you only.

It could be only 15 minutes, but when you start doing it religiously every single day, in a long term, it will become a new habit that you won't need to even think about it ( just like brushing your teeth).

I call my morning routine, My Daily 3.

Immediately after I wake up, I do 5-10 minutes of meditation (usually guided). I put my headphones, sit or lay down and just do it. Showing up every single day is the most important.

Next, I do journal for 5-10 minutes, every single morning: do a unedited thought download and then go back and look at my thoughts and trash the ones that don't serve me and keep the ones I want to believe..

Next I  do some stretching exercises for 10-15 minutes or I go out for a walk 3 times per week and listen to my favorite books, podcast,etc.

I’ve started a morning routine 3 years ago along with a real estate "100 Day Listing Challenge" that I was doing at the time. 

What I did was, getting up at 5 am, and meditate,  say affirmations, journal, read, yoga, practice scripts, and then I've stopped and my chaotic life started to pile up again….

I think that the reason I’ve stopped was that, I did way too many things as a beginner, trying to implement so many new habits at once, and at the end of the day, it became very very tiring and overwhelming, and I did quit everything at once, as we all do.

So, I’ve made a commitment to start having a daily morning routine again.

I knew that, it was in my best interest to incorporate it into my daily schedule, in order to help me create new healthy habits.

And, I am very happy to report that today is Day 342 since I’ve started my Daily 3, and I am still on it.

I think the trick to keep doing it is to start small, and just show up every day, and even if you skip a day or two, just go back onConsistency is the Key!!!

Also, I've noticed it works great if you can attach it to a habit that you already have.

For instance, you brush your teeth daily without even thinking about it, so you can attach meditation immediately after you brushing you teeth, or, you have a coffee every morning, so you can journal while you are drinking your coffee..

After you MASTER IT, you can add more habits that you want to implement.

The Experts say that if you do something for 66 Days in a row, it becomes a habit of yours but I personally think that you need to stay on it for longer, and to manage your mind daily in order to be successful in it. Also, constraint it to 1-3 max until you master it.
