A Letter From 2029...

Why Envision Your Future Self?

What I've learned and it's proven by many psychologists & mindset gurus out there is that, your thoughts &  beliefs create your feelings, then you take actions from the way you feel about something, and because of your actions, you get the results/outcomes you currently have.

In other words, if you look at your current results, you'll know what your beliefs are about a circumstance( ex. money, time, your calendar, your to do list, the world, your childhood, your past,your relationship, etc.)

By envisioning your future self on a regular basis, you are slowly changing the neurotransmitters that have been wired in your brain, and slowly starting to change your beliefs about circumstances, which will change the way you feel about it, which will make you take different actions, and at the end create different outcomes.

Now, sit down, get a piece of paper and start writing a letter from 2029...

Use the prompts to help you with that:

Ask yourself: Where do I want to be 10 years from now? 

Sit down and write a letter to yourself, don't stop or edit yourself, just keep writing, lay down everything you want to be, to have, to go to, to give back 10 years from now.

The answers of the following will help you with the discovery:

In 10 years I'll be:

_________ years old.

I'll live in ______________(city, country) in a ___________________ ( describe the home you are living in).

Do you have a partner? _____ If yes, describe how he /she looks like______________________.

Do you have children/grandchildren? If yes, describe exactly their names, gender, how they look like _______________________.

Who are your friends? Describe how they look like, what they do, what do you have in common________________.

What do you do for living? ______________________ .

Describe your income, how many hours do you work a week, do you have your own business or you are part of a team, how many assistants do you have, do you have any mentors/coaches or are you mentoring others?

What are you best known for, do you have any professional achievements, what are you passionate for?

Do you have more than one stream of income?

What do you like to spend your money for?

What type of lifestyle do you live?

What do you value most?

What does success looks like to you?

What is the ONE THING you are most proud of?

Is there anything or anyone in your life TODAY that you'll want to have in your life 10 years from now?

Are your values and believes the same as they are today?

What habits do you need to change in order to get closer to your 10 years from now self?

What skills do you need to develop to get closer to your 10 years from now self?

Then seal the envelope address it to yourself and give it to a friend or a family member to keep it for you and give it to you in 10 years.

What do you think? In 10 years when you are reading this letter you either will feel thankful that you did something today, built a habit, changed something, made a commitment, or you'll find yourself at the same place you are right now.

Today is the day to begin. Make it happen.
